is uniquely located at the end of a saltwater
tidal pond. The view from the Inn encompasses
this pond, the barrier beach, and the Atlantic
Ocean with Block Island in the distance. Aerial

of Weekapaug and the Inn. Started in 1899,
the Weekapaug Inn is an enduring time capsule
of a simpler and more quiet era. It is a traditional,
old-fashioned summer resort. There are no
phones or televisions in the rooms and nightly
entertainment ranges from reading novels and
playing board games to something more organized
like guest lectures, storytelling, or the
like. Guests come to the Inn to relax and
get away from the fast pace of modern life.
Four generations of Buffum family innkeepers
have graciously opened the Weekapaug Inn to
guests. Someone once described it as a beautiful
and quiet summer home with the conveniences
of a hotel.
At the Inn we offer tennis, sailing, canoeing,
bicycling, shuffleboard, lawn bowling, and
croquet. There are also a number of nice golf
courses in the area to play. Our talented
chef and his team prepare three meals daily
from scratch taking advantage of only the
freshest ingredients. |
