We schedule trips every day from early May through mid October. The early season spring run off provides the most exciting whitewater in the Northeast. Throughout the summer, daily dam releases on The Kennebec and Penobscot Rivers guarantee excellent Class IV and V rafting adventures. The combination of MAGNIFICENT foliage, higher water flows, and generally fewer people has made late season rafting in September and October a very popular choice for many of our guests.
Each day is a new adventure as we paddle different locations, exploring our region's beautiful waterways. Young people, ages 6 - 17, who enjoy being outdoors and learning about nature, will become capable canoeists and have fun with activities such as canoe camping, challenge games, and field studies. An enriching, in-depth summer experience!
River Camp is a unique adventure-based environmental education canoeing camp. It features small, close-knit groups led by qualified adult leaders. Our region is blessed with outstanding waterways, waiting to be explored by canoe. They offer fun adventure as we discover a rich heritage of cultural, environmental and geological history, along with an abundance of wildlife and clean water. River Camp has been educating young river-lovers/paddling enthusiasts since 1997. It is a licensed recreational camp for children.

Ocean House Marina
Hope Valley, RI
This boat ramp is at a private marina but can be used by the public for a fee of $10/day. This site provides access to the Kenyon Cove and Fort Neck sections of Ninigret Pond, which feature stunning landscapes and abundant coves for paddle craft to explore. Ninigret Pond is Rhode Island's largest coastal salt pond and offers excellent wildlife viewing possibilities. The area near the Charlestown Breachway (the outlet to the ocean) is dangerous for paddle craft and should be avoided because of both strong currents and heavy boat traffic. There can also be heavy boat traffic near the marinas. Otherwise, the pond is usually a calm and easy place to paddle. On most days the southwest wind fills in across this area in the morning and blows throughout the afternoon, so be prepared for this when planning your trip./p>
Before planning to launch from this boat ramp it would be a good idea to call the marina (401-364-6040) and confirm the price and parking arrangements.
