Loch
Lyme Lodge
Lyme, NH
Built
on the site of a large family farm, people
have been coming to Loch Lyme Lodge for affordable
family vacations for over 80 years. The main
house, built in l784 which is early for these
parts, today houses the summer dining rooms
and sitting areas. We have a big barn and
21 bed and breakfast or housekeeping cabins
on the property.
We define Loch Lyme Lodge as a rustic vacation
spot. To us, this means no telephones, no
televisions, simple furnishings, no credit
cards accepted, no wall-to-wall carpeting,
no video arcade, no hot tubs, no microwaves
and no bar with nightly entertainment. (We
do, though, offer high-speed Internet access
in the main house and excellent espresso.)
Guests have been returning to Loch Lyme for
over eighty years because of all that we do
offer: fresh air, clean water, stars in a
clear sky at night, 120 acres of fields and
woodlands, many play opportunities for children
(and adults), a private waterfront on a lovely
New Hampshire lake, fresh local fruits and
vegetables, cabins with fireplaces, an emphasis
on family fun, peace and quiet, a caring staff
and a congenial clientele.
