 A native Rhode Islander, Kristina Richards began her career by designing and producing original handbags and apparel which she sold to exclusive specialty boutiques from New York to Los Angeles. The success of her designs and the demand for her fashion sense prompted her to open Kristina Richards Studio in the scenic, coastal town of Newport, RI in 2001.
Kristina Richards Studio boasts a sophisticated, beach-chic vibe which covers the spectrum, from designer jeans and casual tops to swimwear and skirts to cocktail dresses and semi-precious jewelry. Kristina has found the perfect balance by mixing up and coming designers with mainstream labels, offering a fresh balance of versatile styles. In the Spring of 2011, Kristina expanded her Newport store to include a shoe salon, featuring a full range of styles from beachy thongs to jute espadrilles and peep-toe wedges.
Kristina created such a loyal following in Newport that she opened her second location, the sophisticated and sleek sister store, in nearby Cranston, RI in 2007. You won't find the same thing twice here...the Cranston store carries completely different merchandise while maintaining the same impeccable, hip style that is distinctly Kristina Richards

 A lively shopping destination since the Seventies, Clothware began as a "womens design collective", producing an original line of fashion alternatives. Clothware remains loyal to the same criteria that accounted for it's initial success as a Harvard Square specialty shop. The winning combination of upbeat colors, resilient fabrics, and uncluttered design continues to appeal to a self-styled customer who is aware of fashion direction, but not defined by it.
Clothware’s well-edited mix is item-driven, with the emphasis on career, weekend, occasion and travel wear. A fine lingerie and sleepwear section focuses on the customer’s at-home wardrobe, where pure cottons and silks, as well as innovative synthetics, offer a taste of European style. Frequently updated accessories round out the package, featuring contemporary jewelry, handwoven scarves, bags, totes, and hats.
